The PACS Earth Day Eve event, an online-live hybrid outreach event in 2022, recently won national recognition for an outstanding initiative that helps promote the Society’s position statement on sustainability. At the ACS Fall 2023 Meeting in San Francisco, the Princeton Section was awarded a ChemLuminary for “Outstanding Promotion of the Society’s Sustainability Position Statements”. This is a recently established award jointly administered by the Committee on Chemistry & Public Affairs and the Committee on Environmental Improvement (CCPE-CEI).

Barbara Ameer, PACS Alternate Councilor, prepared a poster featuring the highlights of the event. She and Noah Bissonnett, PACS 2023 Chair, presented it at the 2023 Princeton ACS Fall Organic Chemistry Symposium.
